Security: The HITECH Act passed as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), called for protected health information (PHI) to be rendered unreadable and unusable. Organizations can be fined up to $1.5 million dollars for violating the rules protecting patients' privacy. The bottom line is that unencrypted e-mail containing sensitive data compromises patient privacy and there is no excuse anymore for not encrypting PHI. You may create a file password that is stored in scrambled form on servers with one-way encryption. Upload and e-mail your digital dictation to transcriptsltd.com by 10:00 a.m. daily. Transcribed records are e-mailed to your office by 10:00 a.m. the next business day. Cost is 11 cents per line.

Option #2:

Pickup and delivery of taped dictation and transcribed records between 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Cost is 12 cents per line.

Option #3:

Pickup and delivery of taped dictation and transcribed records between 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Cost is 13 cents per line.
